How to Set up and Customize a Donation Widget

Unlike crowdfunding projects, the goal of a Donation widget is to raise funds for you personally, enabling you to create work that matters to all of humanity. Therefore, the process for setting up a donation widget is much simpler.

Step 1: Sign Up and Log In

1. Visit Intuipay and click on "Sign Up" to create a new account.
2. Or, if you already have an account, click on "Log In" and enter your credentials.
3. Please choose the "Researcher" account type during sign-up.

Step 2: Configure your wallets

To Receive funds through you need to add your wallets first. Go to account setting

Step 3: Create a Donation Widget

1. After logging in, navigate to the dashboard and click on "Donation Widget" link on the sidebar.
2. Click on the "Create Widget" button.
3. Fill in the widget name. This name is for your reference only and will not be displayed publicly. You can change it later.
4. After creating the widget, you will be redirected to the widget settings page.

Step 4: Customize your Donation widget

With our Donation widget, you can customize the following options:

• Thumbnail: Upload a thumbnail image to represent your widget. Recommended size is 480x180 pixels. Other sizes will be automatically adjusted to fit the image.
• Brand color: Choose a brand color that matches your website or personal brand. This color will be used for buttons and highlights in the widget.
• Accept methods: Select Crypto, Cash, or both as your payment methods. In beta phase, only Crypto is supported.
• Title: The title displayed at the top of the widget.
• Thank you note: A message displayed to donors after they complete a donation.

The preview on the right side will update in real-time as you make changes. And the data will be saved automatically.

Step 5: Get the Embed Code

1. You can find the embed code in the "Embed Code" section at the bottom of the widget settings page.
2. Click the "Copy Code" button to copy the code to your clipboard.
3. It's a html <iframe> code snippet that you can paste into any website or blog that supports HTML embedding.

Step 6: Embed the Widget on Your Website

1. Paste the copied embed code into the HTML of your website where you want the donation widget to appear.
2. Save and publish your website changes.
3. Visit your website to see the donation widget in action.

You have successfully set up and customized your donation widget! You can always return to the widget settings page to make further adjustments or create additional widgets as needed.
