Sep 15 - Beta launch

We are pleased to announce that after several months of intensive development, we have completed the following features.

User Registration and Authentication

• Users can now create accounts and log in securely.
• Passwords are hashed and stored securely to protect user data.
• Implemented email verification to ensure valid user registrations.
• Added "Forgot Password" functionality to help users recover their accounts.
• Integrated OAuth for social media logins (Google, GitHub).

Note: In beta phase, Users require an invitation code to register.

Project Creation and Management

• Users can create new crowdfunding campaigns with detailed descriptions, funding goals, and deadlines.
• Campaigns can include images and videos to better showcase the project.
• Users can edit and update their campaigns after creation.
• Implemented a dashboard for users to manage their campaigns, view funding status, and track backers.
• Added the ability to categorize projects by research field (e.g., Biology, Engineering, Social Sciences).
• Users can set stretch goals and update backers on progress.

Widget for Embedding Campaigns

• Widget is available for users to embed their campaigns on external websites.
• The widget is customizable to match the look and feel of the host website.
• The widget displays real-time funding status and a call-to-action button to back the project.
• Added responsive design to ensure the widget works well on all device types (desktop, tablet, mobile).
• Widget is more simple to set up with a user-friendly interface.

Donation and Payment Processing

• Integrated cryptocurrency payment gateway to accept donations in various cryptocurrencies.
• Implemented secure transaction processing to ensure the safety of funds.
• Users receive email confirmations for their donations.
• Implemented a refund policy for failed or canceled transactions.
• Added a transaction history page for users to view their past donations and payments.
• Integrated multi-currency support to allow donations in different fiat currencies.
• Implemented automatic conversion rates for cryptocurrency donations to fiat currency.

User profiles

• Users can create and edit their profiles, including adding a profile picture and bio.
• Users can view their own and others' profiles, including a list of created and backed projects
• Implemented privacy settings to control profile visibility.
• Users can link their social media accounts to their profiles.
• Users can view their contribution history and project updates.
